As an integral part of its business continuity plans Alston Lodge Residential Home and Community Care has appointed a new Director.
Owner, Wendy Pickering’s has appointed her daughter, Sarah Burns, as a Director of Alston Lodge to ensure the business can continue to operate efficiently and effectively, providing the high quality service levels it has over the passed 27 years.
Sarah brings a wealth of commercial experience, gained in large organisations at senior levels, including O2 and latterly Booths.
Working alongside Co-Director Pam Hooghkirk, Sarah will build on the great reputation Wendy and the rest of the team have successfully developed for Alston Lodge.
The management team will continue to implement existing plans and activity, whilst also working on new initiatives to ensure the business carries on delivering the professional, friendly care, service and support it is renowned for.
The first of these initiatives sees the launch of a new teatime menu to all Alston Lodge’s clients out in community. This new service will be available from 25th August and will be hand delivered directly to client’s doors for just £4.50.
With regards to her appointment Sarah comments,
“ I am extremely excited to be joining the business and working with the rest of the team to continue to provide a caring service, that is second to none.”
“I am looking forward to building upon my mother’s hard work, ensuring the business continues to provide the high standards of care for clients, in the home and community, enabling them to enjoy a good quality of life, whilst retaining their independence, privacy and dignity.”
Co-Director, Pam Hooghkirk added “The team is pleased to welcome Sarah on board and I look forward to working closely with her to develop new plans to take the business from strength to strength.”
